Looking for a satellite dish? If you want to tailgate at a football game, or have service at your lake house, you’ll need a satellite dish. In addition, you’ll need some coaxial cable and a signal meter to align the dish. However, some people will use the receiver’s meter to align the dish.
Most people use their existing Dish Network or DirecTV receiver for tailgate parties, or lake house installs. It’s fairly easy to setup a satellite antenna. Although, it may take a few attempts on your first try. Similarly, you can hire a contractor to install the dish for you.

How to setup a Satellite Dish?
Firstly, determine the azimuth, elevation and skew of the satellite dish. This will be based on the dish type and geographic location. Secondly, check the line of sight to ensure you can see the satellite in the sky. After that, you can determine the mounting equipment and begin installation.
Whether you go with a pole or a mast, make sure it’s level and doesn’t move. Place the satellite dish on the mount and tighten the bolts almost all the way. You need the dish loose enough to move left and right, but tight enough to not move up and down. Connect the LNBF to a meter or the receiver and slowly move the dish left or right.
